Guelph Storm (OHL): The Storm season came to a very unceremonious end after the Spitfires completed a clean sweep at the Sleeman Centre last Thursday. Windsor walked to the second round after drubbing the Storm 11-3. “On behalf of the entire Guelph Storm organization, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your incredible support throughout this season and playoff run,” the Storm org said in their end of season sign-off. “This group gave everything they had, and nights like our final game of the season remind us why we love this game. The passion you brought to the Sleeman Centre each and every night fueled this team, and that means everything to us.” At least the Storm are assured a place in the Memorial Cup next year.

Mitchell Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year awards with Nathan Allensen and Katherine Heard getting those honours. For the complete list of award winners, click here.
Guelph Royals (IBL): There’s one new signing this week, and it’s outfielder Ashton Patterson, who now in his fifth season with the Royals will be among the longest-serving players on the team with Brandon Deans, Conner Morro, and JD Williams.
