Transit Detours/Notices:
REMINDER #1: The Route #2 College Edinburgh will be detoured away from College Avenue between Gordon and Edinburgh on outbound trips until June 6.
REMINDER #2: Routes #10 Paisley, #11 Silvercreek, and #20 Northwest Industrial will all be detoured away from Quebec Street on Saturday June 21 because that road will be closed for Art on the Street.
Routes #4 York, #8 Janefield, #9 Waterloo, #11 Silvercreek, and #99 Mainline will all be detoured on Sunday June 22 from 3:15 to 5 pm for the Eucharist Procession from the Basilica of Our Lady through the Ward to the Sacred Heart Church on Alice Street.
Route #16 Southgate will be detoured from stops at Corporate an Clair from Monday June 23 to Friday June 27 due to construction.
There will be free transit after 7 pm on Canada Day!
Upcoming Construction:
Lewis Road is closed at the Guelph Junction Railway tracks due to safety concerns caused by road surface settlement over two culverts. The duration of the closure is presently unavailable.
A portion of Newstead Street is closed until Friday June 27 for the installation of new water and sewer pipes.
There will be lane shifts along Downey Road between Hanlon Creek Boulevard and Laird Road until July 4 to improve wildlife safety with exclusion fencing at existing wildlife crossings
A portion of the sidewalk will be closed outside Guelph General Hospital for one week starting today to allow for the storage of materials from an excavation from work on Hospital passage.
There will lane reductions along Baker Street starting on Monday June 23 for streetscaping. Work is expected to continue until November.
The test well located between Laird Road West and Forestell Road will itself be tested starting on or around Friday June 23 for seven weeks. Look for lane reductions and temporary lighting in the area of Laird and Quartermain.
The sidewalk on Oxford Street near the corner of Yorkshire will be closed for two days on Thursday June 26 and Friday June 27 to support the upgrade of water services to a Yorkshire Street property.
College Avenue will be closed between University Avenue and Borden Street starting on Wednesday July 2 for infrastructure improvements. Work will continue through August.
Yorkshire Street North will be closed between Oxford Street and Liverpool Street for one day on Wednesday July 2 to upgrade water services to a Yorkshire Street property.
